How to use Idera PowerShell Plus for SharePoint PowerShell scripts

If you have been unhappy with using PowerGUI for your PowerShell scripts, fortunately, Idera has a much better and more reliable alternative called PowerShell Plus:

Using PowerShell Plus, you can easily create PowerShell scripts for SharePoint in the following manner:

  1. Open Idera PowerShell Plus and create a new PowerShell script file
  2. On the Home tab, click on the Snapins button in the Ribbon
  3. Select the Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell Snapin
  4. Begin typing SharePoint PowerShell Cmdlets in the script and you will notice that the Intellisense/Autocompletion for the SharePoint PowerShell Cmdlets appear!
